The airport required a durable, flexible, and visually appealing queue management solution that would help streamline the flow of passengers through their security and passport control area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With ongoing growth and an evolving terminal layout, the airport also needed a system that could adapt easily to future operational changes, all while reinforcing its strong brand identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Journey\"><\/span>The Journey<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having collaborated with Sharjah Airport for over a decade, Tensator already had valuable insights into their operational needs and layout. Our team engaged directly with Sharjah Airport to understand the scope of the current project\u2014whether an upgrade to a previously installed area or a new development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through site visits, consultations, and layout planning, we developed a solution tailored specifically to the space, flow, and branding requirements. Our collaborative and flexible approach\u2014combined with our expertise in aviation environments\u2014ensured that the solution would integrate seamlessly into the airport\u2019s security checkpoint while providing future-proof adaptability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Solution\"><\/span>The Solution<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The final solution featured our market-leading Tensabarrier\u00ae posts, each with a 220mm magnetic base for secure yet flexible placement. To enhance both functionality and visual appeal, each post was fitted with 2.3m of custom-printed webbing displaying the Sharjah Airport branding\u2014offering not just guidance but also reinforcing brand identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also integrated post-top signage to further assist passengers in understanding the queue layout and next steps\u2014particularly important in a multi-lingual, fast-moving environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key features of the solution included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Branded webbing<\/strong> to enhance wayfinding and brand presence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Polished chrome Tensabarriers\u00ae<\/strong> to complement the airport\u2019s modern aesthetic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Magnetic bases<\/strong> to allow secure yet easily reconfigurable layouts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Results\"><\/span>The Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installation was carried out with precision, forming clearly defined, orderly queues leading passengers smoothly towards the security checkpoint and passport control area.
